Down To Earth’s Bio-Turf 8-3-5 is an entirely natural granular lawn fertilizer designed to encourage deep root development to help reduce watering requirements. DTE Bio-Turf’s nitrogen-rich formula boosts early season growth while its extra Potassium reduces seasonal stress due to temperature change and drought. DTE Bio-Turf is also ideal for heavy feeding garden vegetables like corn, tomatoes and leafy greens.

APPLICATION RATES

Lawns:

In spring, apply 6-12 lbs per 1,000 square feet and water in well. For summer and fall applications, decrease amount to 5-10 lbs per 1,000 square feet. Three to four applications per year are recommended and results may be enhanced if applied following aeration. For new lawns, apply 12 lbs per 1,000 square feet and mix into top 2-4 inches of soil before seeding or sodding.

Vegetable Gardens:

Apply 4-6 lbs per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into soil. For transplants, add 1-2 tablespoons per hole and water in well. To feed established plants, side dress 2-4 tablespoons per plant each month during the growing season.

Row Crops/Acreage:

Apply 625-2,500 lbs per acre depending on specific crop needs or required pounds of actual nitrogen per acre.
