CloseWe are so pleased to bring you this high-quality open-pollinated broccoli. Solstice is tender, sweet, and early--ready by the summer solstice from a late March sowing. Outstanding as a fall broccoli with the long necks holding it up away from slugs and mud. It is generally 2 weeks earlier than main-crop broccoli. The heads are held up clear of the foliage, making them easy to pick and safer from slugs and other pests. Many side shoots after main head is cut. Farmer Jonathan Spero bred Solstice and has pledged it to the Open Source Seed Initiative so it cannot be patented. A must for the spring and fall garden. 70 days. 60 seeds.
