Edible flowers is shades of yellow, gold, apricot, and orange. Easy, quick, and hardy--blooms all year in zones 8-10, early spring to hard freeze elsewhere. Beautiful planted with the equally easy (and edible) blue Cornflowers (Bachelor's Button) or with other hot shades. Not at all fussy about soil, makes a nice spot of color in the herb garden, pots, in amongst vegetables, flowerbeds, or anywhere you want fast, easy color you can also use for food and medicine. Plants to about a foot tall. Needs dark to sprout, so plant 1/2 inch to 1 inch deep. Perennializes in mild climates. Calendula officinalis 60 seeds.
