Botanical Name: Cucurbita pepo
Sow a few seeds over a hill 9 to 12 inches tall and 1 foot across. Choose an area with full sun after any chance of frost has passed. Thin to 3 plants per hill when 1 inch tall. When vines are 3 inches high, thin to the strongest plant in each hill. Use a heavy organic mulch to control weeds.
Planting Depth: 1-1.5"
Seed Spacing: Sow Jack O Lantern Pumpkin seeds roughly 8' apart in rows, keeping rows approximately 8' apart.
Nutrient Care Instructions: Apply SUPERthrive once per week. Soak in solution of 1/4 tsp per gal for 15 min. or longer depending on size and type.
Harvest before fall frost, when the rind cannot be dented with your thumbnail. Store in a cool, dry place.
