If you are looking for the tallest and most prominent sunflower, this is the variety for you! American Giant Sunflower can reach up to 16 feet tall with 10-inch-wide blooms. Because of their size, American Giant Sunflowers make for perfect competition flowers. Their ginormous blooms are supported on sturdy stalks with large leaves.
*Please note that Sunflower American Giant Hybrid seeds are large and vary in size. One packet of these seeds could result in only 12-20 seeds per packet.

Sow a few seeds evenly spaced in hills, 8 inches high and 12 inches across. Young vines should have a fence, trellis, or heavy cord on which to climb. When young vines are about 8 inches, thin to 3 plants per hill. Does not transplant well.

Excellent for tall blooming backgrounds and screens for unsightly places. Harvest seed by cutting flower heads when backs are yellow, then hanging downward in a warm, dry place.
