A striking ornamental six row spring wheat (Triticum aestivum) with black flecked awns. This wheat can be used both decoratively and makes a great accent for dried flower bouquets and for grinding / food purposes.

Seeds are certified organic.

Wheat (Triticum aestivum) is an annual grain crop that is typically harvested for grinding. Seeds can be started in either a greenhouse or directly outdoors when severe frost danger has passed. Wheat can withstand mild frosts, so don’t be wary about early plantings. If sowing in a greenhouse, transplant outdoors into fertile soil when seedlings are one to two inches tall. In all cases, ensure that seeds stay consistently moist throughout their germination period. Harvest stalks and seed heads when they have turned a tan brown.
